The Capital Campaign
What began as a program to raise money for the building itself has been continued as a means of funding two other important elements of The Cliffs; Facilities and Continuing Care.
Facilities Wish List
Exercise - There is a crying need to improve our exercise facilities on premise. Currently the workout room uses donated equipment and must function without a complete training regimen for each resident. We intend to establish a regular program of physical training geared to every resident’s abilities.
The Chapel- we can be of greater benefit to the residents and to the community by renewing the hall below the sanctuary, creating a functional meeting space. Renewal includes paint, carpet and modern meeting equipment; e.g. broadband connectivity, better lighting
Expanded Program – planning has begun to build outdoor exercise/game courts including shuffle board and bocce. The land is there just waiting for the funding.
Caring
Continuing Education - to attract and hold the best professional staff The Cliffs must pay for their on-going education and skills development. The concept is to fund continuing education, course work and training in medical, physiological and psychological caring.
Scholarship - there is a heart wrenching dilemma in the number of worthy potential residents who can not fully afford to become a resident in our community. The Board would like to develop a scholarship program to help selected candidates become part of life at The Cliffs. Most notable among those in need are retired clergy.
